Paint is an easy and inexpensive way to give new life to old things. I regularly use it to repair, refresh and repurpose objects that might otherwise be thrown away and replaced.
My latest decorating project: Painting two hollow-core wood veneer doors in the corner of my family room. While I usually love the look of wood, these two doors were damaged and dated, plus they made my light-challenged room feel even darker. Rather than replace them with new doors, I decided to paint them white 🙂
I filled in all the scratches and dents with wood putty, then I lightly sanded the doors before priming and painting. Now our family room feels so much bigger and brighter, and my beloved upright grand piano takes center stage! 😃
Loving the cat tree!
Awww, thank you!
