Tiny Trash Can Lufa Farms home grocery delivery

Grocery delivery

My Lufa Farms pickup point was suspended due to the pandemic, but this week I was lucky enough to get one of their limited home delivery slots! 😃 Getting my basket delivered saved me a trip to the grocery store, and it allowed me to support a slew of local businesses 💚

Here’s what we ordered this week:

– Pesticide-free cucumbers and lettuce from Lufa Farms (Montreal rooftops)

– Organic potatoes from Les Jardins Lauzeraie (Saint-Eugène, QC)

– Organic apples from Warner’s Farm (Beamsville, ON)

– Organic yogurt from Ferme Vallée Verte in a consigned glass container (Saint-Jean-de-Matha, QC)

– Organic coffee from Café Union (Montreal coffee roaster)

– Vegan creton from Mi Corazon (Montreal food truck)

– Pastry from Boulangerie Chez Fred (Montreal bakery)

And all this food was delivered to my doorstep for $5 by electric car! 🌎

The pandemic has changed how often I go grocery shopping, but I still try to make the greenest choice possible. With my Lufa Farms order, I opted for unpackaged or paper/glass packaging, and I’ll keep the compostable plastic bags and small glass jar for reuse. It’s important to me to buy local food and support small businesses, especially during this coronavirus outbreak 🤗

Has the pandemic changed how and where you get your food? I’d love to hear how you’re adapting!
