Bye bye, 2022—and all the garbage that came with it! 😜
Aside from Milo’s used cat litter (which took up most of the bin), there were also lots of N95 masks (which my son wears everyday to school) and many COVID-19 rapid tests. There were also more broken glasses and plates than I care to count, shoes/boots that were too damaged to donate … the list goes on. After 12 months, that bin was FULL! 😅
Over the past few years, I’ve been able to reduce my family’s trash significantly by refilling at bulk stores, avoiding packaged foods and shopping secondhand. These happen to be great ways to save money, too 😉
If you’ve made a new year’s resolution to reduce waste, let me know if I can help you keep it! And remember: It’s about progress, not perfection. Every little bit helps! 💚
Wishing you a happy and healthy new year! 🥳
