Better late than never! I missed the year-end trash collection two weeks ago—I guess that’s what happens when you take the trash out once a year! 😂
In addition to 52 tiny trash cans, our bin also contained countless N95 masks, a few bags of used cat litter, broken light bulbs and drinking glasses, shoes/boots that were too used to donate … the list goes on.
My house is far from clutter-free. And with a cat and a kid, accidents happen 🤷🏻♀️ So there’s no way our annual trash will ever fit in a mason jar 😆 And like everyone else, we’re navigating the extra waste that comes with COVID-19. But if I can keep my family’s landfill waste to one bin a year, I’m good with that 😊 For us, this amount of annual landfill waste is realistic and sustainable 💚
How’s your waste reduction going during the pandemic? Have you found your happy medium?
